93rd Brigade Fundraiser
The last wine of Bakhmut
For more than a century, Artwinery made sparkling wine in the gypsum caverns beneath Bakhmut. When the city came under siege, the 93rd Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” was among the units that held it. Under the brigade’s protection, Artwinery’s own people carried the last bottles out of the caverns before the city fell.
Those bottles are the last that will ever be made there.
Our goal: $250,000 for the 93rd
Our intention is to raise $250,000 for the 93rd Brigade through wine, the 93 Coin and the Collector’s Edition boxes. The money buys what the brigade needs most: drone batteries, medical equipment and protective gear.
Every purchase supports Ukraine
When you buy from this campaign, the money reaches many Ukrainian hands, not one.
- The 93rd Brigade receives a fixed dollar amount from every item.
- Artwinery’s winemakers, displaced from Bakhmut, were paid for these bottles, and campaign sales fund our next purchases from Ukrainian winemakers, including Artwine made outside of Bakhmut.
- Ukrainian makers produce everything else in the campaign. The 93 Coin is struck in Ukraine. The Collector’s Edition boxes were made in Kyiv. The Ruby Collection boxes and embroidered towels are made by displaced Bakhmut artists.
- Ukraine’s future. What these businesses earn is reinvested in Ukraine.
There are costs we cannot avoid, such as import duties, excise and VAT, shipping, and our fulfillment partners. They are built into every price, and we explain them below.
Wine, coins and collector’s boxes
The campaign brings together rescued Bakhmut wine and Ukrainian-made keepsakes. Each item supports the 93rd through a fixed contribution in US dollars, wherever you buy it: the US, the UK or Europe for wine, and anywhere in the world for the coin, the Collector’s Edition box or other donations.
Wine from the Bakhmut cellars
Wine is a retail purchase from our licensed partners. It ships only where the law allows: most US states, the UK and much of Europe. If your state or country can’t receive wine, the checkout will tell you. Wine purchases are not tax-deductible.
The rescued collection includes the 2019 wines and Grand Reserve 2015, with $18 from each single bottle supporting the brigade. The Rosé Brut 2015 and White Brut 2015 carry a $30 contribution per bottle.
For sharing with friends, the White Sec and Ruby Doux three-packs each contribute $45. The four-bottle Fortune Favors the Brave pack contributes $50, while the six-bottle Bakhmut Collection sends $90 to the 93rd.
The Ruby Collection brings together three bottles with boxes and embroidered towels made by displaced Bakhmut artists. Each collection contributes $90 to the brigade.
The Full Arsenal contains 13 bottles in the US and 10 in the UK and Europe, and contributes $200. For a larger occasion, the 93-bottle lot contributes $4,500. The US-only Sweeter Road Ahead three-bottle selection contributes $26.
The 93 Coin
Struck in Ukraine, the 93 Coin is a numbered edition of 930. Each $93 coin sends $50 to the brigade. It contains no wine, ships worldwide and is scheduled to ship in early December, after the campaign closes.
The Collector’s Edition box
One of 15 handmade presentation boxes from Kyiv, the Collector’s Edition box is a keepsake made by Ukrainian craftspeople. It contains no wine. Each $4,930 box contributes $4,000 to the 93rd and ships worldwide in early December.
The 93 Coin and the Collector’s Edition box are donations to Rebuilding Cellars, Inc., a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit. They contain no wine and ship worldwide. They are invoiced separately from any wine order. US donors receive a donor letter for the deductible amount: $50 for each $93 coin and $4,000 for each $4,930 box. The rest covers making the item and shipping it to you.
If you can’t receive wine, the 93 Coin, a Collector’s Edition box or a donation to the 93rd through Rebuilding Cellars is the simplest way to take part.
The costs behind each purchase
Each wine price also covers the wine itself, import duties and excise taxes, VAT where it applies, shipping, the licensed retailers and fulfillment partners that legally deliver wine in each country, and payment processing. Wine is a regulated product, and every bottle moves through licensed hands. These costs apply whether or not a campaign is running.
How the money reaches the 93rd
- Brave Selections, the importer of Artwine, pays the fixed amount from every campaign sale to Rebuilding Cellars, Inc.
- Coin and box donations, as well as any other donations, go to Rebuilding Cellars directly.
- BO United Aid and Logistics, a registered Ukrainian charity in Kyiv, buys what the 93rd needs, including drone batteries, medical equipment and protective gear, and arranges the formal paperwork with the brigade.
- Rebuilding Cellars reimburses BO United Aid and Logistics for the cost of those items.
Our partners
- Rebuilding Cellars, Inc. A US 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 93-1383436) that supports displaced Ukrainian winemaking families. It receives the campaign funds and issues donor letters.
- United Aid and Logistics. BO United Aid and Logistics is a registered Ukrainian charity in Kyiv (registration no. 44890246), working with Ukraine Aid Operations to deliver aid directly to frontline units. It buys the items the 93rd needs and arranges the formal paperwork with the brigade.

- Artwinery. The Bakhmut winery whose people created this wine and carried it out of the city under the protection of the 93rd.
Questions
Where can wine ship?
Most US states, the UK and much of Europe. The checkout shows whether your address can receive wine.
Can you ship wine to Canada, Australia, Japan or other countries?
Not at this time. Wine laws allow us to ship only to most US states, the UK and much of Europe. You can still stand with the 93rd from anywhere in the world: reserve your 93 Coin or a Collector’s Edition box, or make a donation through Rebuilding Cellars. Coins and boxes ship worldwide in early December, and every coin sends $50 to the brigade.
When will my order arrive?
Wine ships as orders come in. Coins and Collector’s Edition boxes ship in early December.
Is my purchase tax-deductible?
Wine is not. Coins and Collector’s Edition boxes are donations to Rebuilding Cellars, and US donors receive a donor letter for the deductible amount.
Why doesn’t the whole price go to the 93rd?
Wine carries duties, excise taxes, VAT, shipping and licensed-retailer costs in every country. We publish the exact amount from each item so you know what reaches the brigade.
We will report back
We will post a running total on this page through the campaign. When the purchases are made, we will share what the 93rd received, with photos and receipts where security allows.
